Terms of use
For the AlbumVault apps for iPhone and Android, and the albumvault.app website, published by Viral Apps LLC. Effective .
iPhone: Apple’s standard license
If you got AlbumVault from the App Store, your use of the app is covered by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms add the points below where the EULA allows.
Android: Google Play
If you got AlbumVault from Google Play, these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service apply.
Free and Pro
Free: 1 vault, up to 100 photos and 10 videos, encrypted backup file included. Pro: as many vaults as you want, including the guest vault, with no limit on photos and videos.
Pro is an optional purchase inside the app.
Subscriptions that renew automatically
If you buy Pro as a subscription:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically for the same length of time unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account or Google Play settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- After you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- The price and length of each plan are shown in the app before you buy.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules. The support page shows how to cancel and restore a purchase.
Your vaults and your recovery phrase
There is no AlbumVault server, so there is no AlbumVault account to sign up for. We never have your photos or your keys, so we have nothing to hand over.
Each vault has its own 12-word recovery phrase (BIP-39), shown once. We never see it and cannot reset it. If you forget your pattern, the phrase gets you back in.
Keeping your pattern, PIN, recovery phrase and backup files safe is up to you. If you lose your pattern or PIN and the recovery phrase, nobody can open that vault or bring back what is in it. Keep a copy of photos you cannot replace.
Using AlbumVault
- Keep only content you have the right to keep, and do not use AlbumVault to break the law.
- Break-in photos can show other people. Use them only on your own phone and follow the law where you live.
- Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.
No promises beyond these terms
We work to keep AlbumVault reliable, but it is provided as it is, without promises that it will be free of errors or always available. As far as the law allows, Viral Apps LLC is not liable for lost data or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
