Compress a photo to the file size you need
Forms often cap uploads at 50 or 100 KB. Pick a target and the tool finds the best quality that fits, shrinking the dimensions only if it has to.

How to use it
- Choose a photo.
- Pick a target size, or set the quality yourself.
- Check the preview and the new size, then download.
How it hits a target size
The tool saves the image at different quality levels, narrowing in on the highest quality under your target. If even low quality is too big, it reduces the width and height step by step until it fits.
JPEG or WebP
WebP is usually smaller at the same quality, but some older forms only accept JPEG. When in doubt, choose JPEG.
FAQ
Questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The page reads your file in this browser tab and does the work on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and closing the tab clears it. You can switch on airplane mode after the page loads and the tool still works.
Why is my compressed image smaller in pixels?
If the target cannot be reached at a usable quality, the tool reduces the dimensions. The result line shows the final width and height.
Does compression remove location data?
Yes. The image is saved as a new file, which does not carry EXIF, GPS or camera data.
Transparent PNG turned white?
JPEG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Choose WebP to keep transparency.
