Make a QR code for a link, Wi-Fi network or contact card
The code points straight at what you type. There is no redirect link in the middle, so it never expires and nobody counts the scans.
- Free, no sign-up
- Works offline once loaded
- Nothing you type leaves this device
What should the code hold?
Size, colours and error correction
How to use it
- Pick what the code should hold: a link, Wi-Fi network, contact, email, phone number or text.
- Fill in the fields. The code updates as you type.
- Set the size, colours and error correction if you want to, then download PNG or SVG.
No middleman link
Many QR sites encode their own short link that forwards to yours. That lets them count scans, show ads, or switch the code off later. This generator writes your text straight into the code.
Wi-Fi codes and your password
A Wi-Fi QR code contains the network password in plain text, because that is how phones join from it. Anyone who scans it can read the password. Print it only where you would write the password down.
FAQ
Questions
Is the Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
No. The code is drawn in this tab from what you type. Nothing is sent to a server.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The content is inside the code itself. It works for as long as the link or details inside it are valid.
PNG or SVG?
SVG stays sharp at any size and suits print and design tools. PNG suits documents, chats and slides.
What does error correction do?
Higher levels let the code scan even when part of it is dirty, damaged or covered by a logo, at the cost of a denser code. M suits most uses; choose H if you will print it small or outdoors.
